Sturgeon Hockey Club is pleased to offer an Intro to Hockey program for kids born in 2011-2013. This program will run for 8 weeks from October-December for the fall session and January-March for the winter session.
Participants will be on the ice once a week at the same time and day for the full 8 weeks. Parents can choose to register their child for both sessions or just choose one. Registration for the Fall session will open June 1, 2017 - September 20, 2017 and registration for the Winter session will run November 15 to December 20, 2017.
Each session (October-December & January-March) will cost $150.00 and both sessions will be comprised of the same program.
To register your child for Intro to Hockey you will need to first complete the Respect In Sport - Parent program (RIS). This online program is mandated by Hockey Alberta and requires one parent from each family complete the course. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete and has a cost of around $12.00 plus GST. If you have taken this course previously for another child in hockey please follow the link to the course and log your RIS-Parent account, click on Profile and Child Management and make sure all of your children are added there. When this is complete you will receive a certificate number which you will need for registration.
In addition to entering your RIS ID number, you will also be required to upload a copy of the child’s birth certificate and a current utility bill to confirm residency and a Parent/Guardian Declaration. Forms must be scanned as separate files, not all together and will need to be uploaded during registration in the "Registration Uploads" section of the registration system. At the completion of registration you will receive an email confirming that the registration was received. Further information above start dates and times will be emailed and posted on the Intro to Hockey team site.
Please note the guardian information is the information that will be used for contact information for the Association, Directors, Coaches and Team staff. Please do not list emergency contact information in this area (the guardian's information listed on the current player's registration is what is transferred to the website and Hockey Canada Registry for all communications with the Association for a player). If you have any questions regarding the information above, please contact the registrar at email@example.com
If you have read the above information, completed and scanned the required registration paperwork to a PDF file, please click the Sturgeon Hockey Club Registration System to start the registration process.
If you have any questions or require assistance, please contact the firstname.lastname@example.org by email. If you require technical assistance with registration please contact the SHC email@example.com by email.
