Board Volunteers Required for 22-23 Season
In order to start the upcoming 22-23 season, we need to fill our Board!
These positions are crucial and necessary. We cannot proceed without someone stepping into them and unfortunately this could mean a delay in getting kids onto ice.
Let's get those kids playing!
The following 5 positions are available.
Director of Leagues (1 position)
Duties include (but not limited to):
- Represent SHC at all EFHL meetings
- Liaison between all leagues and SHC executive
- Liaison with SHC ice scheduler for all schedules
- Participate in general coaches meeting to explain any rules and regulations to the coaches
- participate on the Coaches Selection Committee
Level Directors (4 positions):
- U18
- U13
- U9
- U7
Duties include (but not limited to):
- working with the registrar, ensure all players within their division have received proper registration/carding with Hockey Alberta
- oversee the daily operation of all teams within their division under the Executive committee’s jurisdiction
- report all infractions of the rules to the Executive committee for consideration.
- participate with Coaches Selection Committee
- liaison between the coaches of their respective division and the Director of Coaches during a dispute
- participate in the first coach/parent meeting on behalf of the Executive committee to introduce all information as may be required
